Years ago we had a 'Lassie' dog called Valentine. She had that name because she had some heart issues. Although not a dog lover, I found myself looking out my bedroom window watching her bask contentedly under a tree as the sun was shining in our back yard. I found myself saying a prayer asking God to give me a similar spirit that Valentine always seemed to have. The Lord used that animal to help me slow down and invite God's Holy Spirit to work in me.
